Merk: Tenuta Argentiera

Giorgio Bartholomäus is the result of a careful selection of only Merlot grapes grown on a plateau at 200 meters above sea level. It is one of the few mono-varieties produced in the Bolgheri area.
The aging and the particolar organoleptic qualities, have given rise to an elegant wine with great personality, broad, deep and intense to the palate.

Tasting Notes
Intense and compact ruby red colour. The first impression is of sweet spiciness followed by fruity hints reminding blue- and blackberries. The expanding bouquet shows well integrated roasted aromas of coffee beans and wet tobacco ending with an idea of saffron. On the palate it is juicy and elegant with creamy and silky tannins offering a full-bodied and pleasant powerful sensation. At the taste are emerging dark, perfect ripened, wooden berries combined with balsamic notes, which together with the mineral freshness are offering a perfect balance beside a long lingering and fresh aftertaste.
