The company was founded in 1956 thanks to the passion of Paolo Mazzotti for the sale of high-quality grapes. In subsequent years, the work was refined by the involvement of his son Andrea and the introduction of new technologies. In 1986, another historical turn took place: with the beginning of the wine-making and bottling the company's philosophy changed, which sought since ever higher quality.
At this point the wine line Conte de Quirra was born lending its name from the eponymous medieval Castle Quirra, which is located close to the sea on the east coast of Sardinia. The wine is made from manually picked grapes, which are the pressed in the wine cellar. The grapes are grown, maintained and harvested in the estate's vineyards in accordance with tradition. They find in the authentic wine Cannonau, in the wine Monica from the small and old vineyards and in the Sangiovese made from big grapes a great expression of extraordinary quality of sublime wines from Conte de Quirra.
