Sieved tomatos

The tomatoes are first thoroughly washed and then boiled and sieved. The passata thus obtained is thick and fragrant. It is bottled and pasteurized. Excellent as tomato sauce for pasta and rice dishes.

The agricultural company Occhionero SRL produces the tomatoes in strict compliance with regulations CEE 2092/91 for organic farming. They use normal tomato plants and no hybrids. Normal plants are not only less productive, but also produce much tastier fruits. Harvesting is done by hand, once the tomatoes have reached the correct degree of ripeness. Our technicians sort the tomatoes before processing. All our products undergo such a thorough selection process.
