DESCRIPTION OF THE TREUVE DI MALVIRÀ
This "Treuve" is a Piedmontese white wine that is born, as is easily understood by the name, from a union of different grape varieties. Arneis, the real protagonist of the Roero terroir, gives way for once, joining Sauvignon and Chardonnay, international varieties on which the olfactory texture of this label is based, in which exotic fruit and aromatic herbs testify to respect for the more classic varietal characteristics of these two vines. A very interesting label, with which the Malverà winery confirms its ability to create harmonious bottles, even when it comes to blends.
This “Treuve” wine comes from the skilful blend that the Malverà winery makes by combining two international grape varieties, each in a percentage of 40%, with a 20% of Arneis, namely Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The vines of these three varieties grow within terroir composed of clayey and calcareous subsoils, with a sandy matrix. Once harvested, the grapes ferment separately in oak barrels, and then continue to refine, again in wood, for a period of about 10-12 months. After bottling, the wine continues to mature for another 12 months directly in glass, before being finally placed on the market.
The "Treuve" is a white wine that, in the glass, takes on a hue that recalls straw yellow. Fruit, even exotic, alternates with sensations of aromatic herbs, which envelop the nose with subtle and delicate aromas. On the palate it is full-bodied, soft, with a large and concentrated sip, which envelops the palate thanks to a refreshing texture. A bottle that certifies all the skill of the Malverà winery in giving life to a blend where the Roero terroir goes beyond the usual regional boundaries thanks to the use of international grapes.
Color Intense golden yellow
Scent Aromatic notes of exotic fruit, dried fruit, acacia honey and aromatic herbs
Taste Soft, intense, rich and enveloping
