Medium opening glass
Ideal for light and medium-bodied red wines, which do not require oxygenation to open. The opening slightly narrower than the body of the glass favors the concentration of aromas towards the nose, enhancing the perception of aromas and limiting their dispersion
DESCRIPTION OF THE DOLCETTO D'ALBA PIRA
The Piedmontese Dolcetto d’Alba is a young and dynamic expression of one of the most traditional denominations of the entire region. Luigi Pira, a winery strongly linked to its roots that saw it born in 1950 in Serralunga d’Alba, cannot therefore neglect this type in its range of bottles. It is a wine that has fragrant vinous touches on the nose, accompanied by floral hints, while in the mouth it offers a frank and sincere sip, which makes tannins the strong point for a drink that fills the palate with liveliness. A perfect label for more convivial situations, able to tastefully accompany fresh cheeses and first and second courses of meat.
This Dolcetto d’Alba originates from the Dolcetto grapes grown by the Luigi Pira winery in a vineyard of about two hectares, located near the municipality of Serralunga d’Alba. We are located about 330 meters above sea level, facing north, in a terroir characterized by a calcareous and clayey subsoil. The must ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, for a total of 6-7 days. The refinement, always carried out in steel, has a total duration of 9 months, at the end of which the bottling and marketing operations are carried out.
Dolcetto d’Alba Luigi Pira reveals itself to the eye with a ruby red color with a nice intensity, also crossed by some flashes more tending to violet. The aromas that envelop the nose move on a simple and subtle aromatic texture, in which flowers and fresh fruit are delicately announced. On the palate it is light bodied tending to medium, with a balanced sip, which highlights a good tannic texture. A bottle that tells one of the most faithful wines to Piedmontese winemaking traditions with classicism and authenticity, to be tried also for the excellent price with which it is offered.
Intense ruby red color with violet reflections
Delicate bouquet of fresh plums and white flowers
Taste Fresh and harmonious, pleasantly tannic
