Merk: Vinosia
Vinosia Taurasi Santandrea belongs to the brand of the lands of Taurasi, located in Irpinia. A particular territory where tradition, sun and love for the traditional cultivation of vines come together to create a unique wine of its kind. Taurasi wines are very delicious and are defined the Barolo of the South. The Vinosia winery works only grapes grown in ancient native vines and is one of the best producers in Italy, capable of creating an opulent but sweet wine with a dense structure. Vinosia tells a family story dating back over a hundred years ago in a very ancient land: Irpinia. As early as 1887 a peasant family was pursuing their own utopia, that of spreading a winery that would offer the world the flavors of the territory. The idea was to produce wines that represented the organoleptic characteristics of the Irpinia vines, located in a very suitable point for the production of wine. The DOCG and DOC denomination of the vineyards is only a confirmation of the vocation of those lands for the authentic flavors of its wine products. Vinosia Taurasi Santandrea is the son of a peasant culture that identifies itself in the quality of its wines, in the enhancement of its experience, its history, a refined tradition where the culture of values and natural working methods are the main commandment. The aromas that this wine can offer are intense emotions of marasca cherry jam and organoleptic journeys between cinnamon and vanilla. The aromatic hints of anise and nutmeg are just the dress of the rich and enveloping taste that this tannic and well balanced wine is able to offer to bewitch diners.
Intense aroma of red fruit and vanilla.
In the mouth it is elegant and enveloping and the tannins are very balanced. Long, balanced and persistent finish.

History It seems to have been introduced by the Greeks along the Tyrrhenian coast, at the time of the foundation of their colonies VI-VII century BC. This could explain the presence of synonyms such as Hellenic, Hellenic and Hellanic, subsequently changed to Aglianico, during the Spanish domination (XV-XVI century) for which the "double l" pronounced in Italian, sounds "gli". There is also a hypothesis that the name of the vine derives from the Greek aglianos: clear and bright agliaia. So clear and bright wines to distinguish it from other Campania wines such as Lacrima and Mangiaguerra, much darker. Furthermore, the ancient denomination "glianico" could go back to the Spanish "llano-piano / plain" from which "grapes of the plain" and therefore originated from the domestication of wild vines ("Vitigni d'Italia" Scienza, Calò, Costacurta).
