Pici is a typical type of pasta from Tuscany. They originate from the region of Grosseto and Siena. People in the old farmhouses used to make a pasta made from soft wheat flour, water and olive oil. The pici are particularly long, thread-like noodles.
These noodles are very rich and particularly tasty. The typical pasta sauce is the "aglione", a tomato sauce that is flavored with garlic and some chili. Pici also fit well with ragù of wild boar and Tuscan ragù.
