This hard cheese is an excellent grated cheese or filling for pasta. Its taste is clearly aromatic, intense, a bit dry and grainy. The Parmigiano is known for its good nutritional values.
At the table, it fits well with red wines or Passito (sweet wine). Delicious with honey or real balsamic vinegar from Modena. Even people with lactose intolerance can eat Parmigiano.
