A historic collaboration between Avignonesi from Montepulciano and Capannelle from Gaiole in Chianti, 50&50 brings forth all the silky elegance of the Merlot and the distinct, rustic charm of the Sangiovese.

Grapes: 50% Merlot from the Avignonesi vineyards in Cortona and 50% Sangiovese from the Capannelle vineyards in Gaiole in Chianti, Chianti Classico.

Ageing: 24 months in French barriques

Refinement in bottles: minimum 12 months

Alcohol %: 13.5%

Serving temperature: 18°C

"50&50 has a deep, dark ruby colour. A powerful and seductive wine, the bouquet is intense and persistent with notes of red fruits, black cherries, sweet spices and an underlying, balsamic touch. On the palate this wine is full-bodied and characterized by a surprising freshness and silky soft tannins with a long lingering, pleasantly dry finish."
