Brancaia Il Blu IGT 1999 Jeroboam

Brancaia IL BLU is distinguished for its elegance, complexity and intensity. It is a blend of 50% Sangiovese, 45% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine ages 20 months in French barriques - 2/3 of them are new - and then matures 12 months in the bottle, prior to release.

Alcohol: 13,5 vol%

First year of production: 1988

Color: Intense ruby red with violet hues.

Nose: Young, vinous nose with perfectly balanced plant notes and sweet fruit notes of strawberry and raspberry. The final notes of black pepper, cloves and sweet tobacco.

Palate: The palate shows a great softness with fine tannins of above average density. Complex and long lasting finish with an aftertaste of chocolate.

Perfect with: Dishes with strong flavour, dark meat such as beef or lamb. Game – fried or stewed – dark wild fowl.
