Morellino Di Scansano Riserva DOCG. Everything begins in 1996, when Elisabetta, charmed by this corner of Maremma nearby Pereta, finally buys the Poggio Valente vineyard. The project foresees re-implanting around half of the terrain straight away and once again Elisabetta chooses Sangiovese
Sensory Analysis
Of an intense ruby red colour with orange reflections which denote the evolution of Sangiovese throughout the years.
The perfumes vary from fragrances of violet, redcurrant and cherry, to then open up to notes of liquorice, tobacco and nutmeg.
The wine’s taste has an elegant structure, the tannins are well complex and the wine has an embracing body. Long persistence and elevated pleasantness which are accompanied by an aftertaste of red fruits and aromas.
Matches
Excellent with any meal, it finds its best expression combined with exquisite meats or with elaborately cooked wild fowl.
