Merk: Cantine Damilano
Formaat : 0,75 Lt.
Gradatie : 14.5%
Cannubi is considered the Grand Cru del Barolo, an extraordinary wine in terms of style and elegance.
The absolute quality of the grapes coming from the hill of Cannubi is determined by the particular composition of the soil: they are not very evolved soils, consisting of gray-whitish clayey marls on the surface. The land where the vineyards of Damilano are located has a high percentage of sand (up to 45%) which gives the grapes intense aromas of cherry, plum and tobacco, pink and purple in evolution.
Low potassium, good calcium and magnesium give the wine finesse and elegance. Intense and lively in color, the wine shows a high polyphenolic concentration.
To the eye strikes its ruby-red garnet color with limited presence of orange reflections and a wide, enveloping scent, with evident fruity notes of cherry and plum and evolved hints of tobacco, licorice and cocoa
When tasted, the palate is wrapped in a harmonious, pleasantly dry flavor, with soft tannins and full-bodied sensations and fullness.
